7th Junior Women's Hockey C'ship: Andhra Pradesh thrash Vidarbha 15-0

Bhopal/Bengaluru (Madhya Pradesh/Karnataka) [India], Apr 28 (ANI): Hockey Andhra Pradesh on Friday thrashed Vidarbha Hockey Association 15-0 in their Pool A encounter on the second day of 7th Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Women) 'B' Division here in Bhopal.

Bhopal/Bengaluru (Madhya Pradesh/Karnataka) [India], Apr 28 (ANI): Hockey Andhra Pradesh on Friday thrashed Vidarbha Hockey Association 15-0 in their Pool A encounter on the second day of 7th Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Women) 'B' Division here in Bhopal. Spandana Bokam (11', 35', 70'), Maheswari Balagond (13', 15', 44', 46'), Bhavani Madugula (22', 43', 69') and Mary Lotla (37', 41', 50', 68') scored a hat-trick each in their victory. In Pool D, Hockey Madhya Bharat beat Goans Hockey 4-1. Goals for Hockey Madhya Bharat were scored by, Sony Sahu (24', 56'), Shivani Gautam (51') and Aayushi Patel (65'). Goans Hockey's goal was scored by skipper Vega Fernades (50'). Hockey Rajasthan beat Hockey Madhya Pradesh 6-0 in Pool C. Beena Pandey scored an outstanding four goals (2', 15', 39', 43') and Reena Saini's brace (7', 69') in their victory. Kerala Hockey recorded a superb 20-0 victory over Hockey Puducherry in the Pool A encounter. KM Ariya (3', 5', 10', 19', 32', 47', 50') scored seven spectacular goals in a clinical performance in front of goal to guarantee the victory. Hockey Jammu & Kashmir beat Hockey Gujarat 9-0 in their Pool B game today. A hat trick by Mridhu Sharma (22', 34', 60') and a brace each by Abhilove Kour (24', 58'), Priya Thakur (29', 51') and Chittra (3', 64') gave them the three points. In Bengaluru, Pool games at the Hockey India 7th Sub Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Men) 'B' Division continued at pace. In Pool B, Namdhari XI beat Hockey Madhya Bharat 14-0. Hanspal Singh continued his tremendous form and smashed seven goals (11', 25', 29', 31', 32', 37', 48') in his teams' victory. Gurpreet Singh also scored a hat trick (6', 19', 39') for Namdhari XI. The Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd beat Goans Hockey 5-1 in their Pool B clash. The Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd took the lead in the third minute via Raj Patil, and never truly let up in the game. Aifaz Sayyed scored a brace for them (23', 62') in the victory. Sports Authority of Gujarat - Hockey Academy beat Hockey Puducherry 6-0 in Pool B. Sunny Thubre (6', 10') and Shyamprakash Yadav (41', 52') scored a brace each in the victory. Bengal Hockey Association beat Vidarbha Hockey Association 15-0 in Pool C. Siddharth Kumar(17', 58', 65', 69') and Rabi Shankar Yadav (11', 21', 55') scored a hat-trick each in their victory. In Pool C, Hockey Coorg beat Hockey Himachal 4-0. M.K Chethan was the star of the show, scoring a well deserved hat trick (50', 54', 65') to give them the three points. (ANI)
