Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 7 (ANI): Hockey Him thrashed Hockey Mizoram 5-0 to become champions of the 7th Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Women) 'A' Division at the Aisbagh Stadium on Saturday. In a fast paced start, Hockey Him started scoring early with Ankita giving them the lead in the 14th minute. Six minutes later, Ekta Kaushik doubled the tally. Right on the hooter for the first half, Ankita added a second to her tally to give Hockey Him an unassailable 3-0 lead at the break. Despite the change in pace in the second half, and Hockey Mizoram's constant attempts to fore the play and claw back in the game with a goal, Hockey Him's quality and astute game-play guaranteed them an outstanding victory. Manju Chorasiya (39') and Umra (66') were also among the scorers for Hockey Him. In the 3rd/4th place game, Hockey Andhra Pradesh beat Assam Hockey 7-0. Jyothi Pilligoila scored an outstanding first half hat-trick (13', 18', 25') and was backed up perfectly by captain Maheswari Balagond who scored a brace (29', 49') s Hockey Andhra Pradesh eased to victory.
