7th Junior Women's Hockey C'ship: Kerala edge past Bengal 6-4
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Apr 29 (ANI): Kerala Hockey defeated Bengal Hockey Association 6-4, in what was the most exciting game of the Day Three of the 7th Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Women) 'B' Division here on Saturday. KM Ariya scored a hat trick (3', 62', 68') and KV Aiswariya got a brace (52', 58') in their Pool A victory. Supriya Bahadur got a brace (22', 29') for Bengal Hockey Association in the loss. In Pool B, Manipur Hockey trounced Hockey Gujarat 23-0. Anamika Devi was the star of the match, scoring ten goals (2', 5', 10', 10', 15', 19', 21', 56', 59', 64') in a comfortable victory. Meanwhile, Hockey Bihar beat Hockey Madhya Pradesh 2-0 in their Pool C clash. Goals for Hockey Bihar were scored late in the game by Sarita Kumari (64') and Ritu Singh (70'). (ANI)
