7th Junior Women's Hockey C'ship: Bengaluru ease past Goans 7-2

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 3 (ANI): Hockey Bengaluru displayed a dominant performance as they clinched a comfortable 7-2 win over Goans Hockey in their final Pool D encounter at the 7th Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Women) 'B' Division here on Wednesday.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], May 3 (ANI): Hockey Bengaluru displayed a dominant performance as they clinched a comfortable 7-2 win over Goans Hockey in their final Pool D encounter at the 7th Junior National Hockey Championship 2017 (Women) 'B' Division here on Wednesday. A hat trick by BY Ganavi (35', 43', 70') and a brace each by S Yuktha (4', 56') and Saraswathi Bhandari (36', 46') wrapped up a comfortable victory for Hockey Bengaluru in their Pool D clash. In Pool D's second match of the day, Sports Authority of Gujarat - Hockey Academy beat Hockey Madhya Bharat 8-1. Shivangi Solanki scored a superb hat trick (3', 10', 22') and Sanya Noronha got a brace (17', 58') in their victory. Pool D toppers, Hockey Him beat Telangana Hockey 17-0 in a furious display of attacking hockey to wrap up their victory. Ekta Kaushik scored eight goals (9', 14', 20', 23', 30, 32', 37', 46') and Ankita (2', 50', 52', 64) scored four goals in the victory. In the semifinals on May 5, Hockey Andhra Pradesh will take on Hockey Him, while Hockey Mizoram will lock horns with Assam Hockey.(ANI)
