Sr. Women Hockey C'ship: SAI triumph Vidarbha 15-0

Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], Feb 2 (ANI): In the final Pool match of the 8th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2018 (B Division) on Friday, Sports Authority of India (SAI) thrashed Vidarbha Hockey Association 15-0.

Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], Feb 2 (ANI): In the final Pool match of the 8th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2018 (B Division) on Friday, Sports Authority of India (SAI) thrashed Vidarbha Hockey Association 15-0.

With this win, SAI finished at the second spot in Pool D with a tally of 12 points, with Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) topping the Pool with 15 points.

Vidarbha will finish fifth in Pool D with a tally of three points after losing their fourth match of the tournament.

SAI scored the first goal in the 1st minute itself as Pinki Ekka found the back of the net. They scored four more goals in the first quarter to take a 5-0 lead.

They stamped their authority in the match with five more goals in the two quarters and five goals in the last one to wrap the game with 15-0 win.

Goals for SAI were scored by Pramila Soreng (20', 27', 54', 55', 59'), Pinki Ekka (1', 8', 51'), Tarsila Beck (33', 41', 48'), Reenu Gill (7'), Diksha Patil (12'), Lalremsiami (14') and Alka Dungdung (35'). (ANI)
