Zidane a coaching great with third straight Champions League win

Kiev [Ukraine], May 28 (ANI): Real Madrid manager and former French footballer Zinedine Zidane on Sunday joined coaching greats as Madrid won a third straight Champions League title against Liverpool.
The 2016, 2017 and 2018 winners now have a place in the record books, along with Franz Beckenbauer's Bayern Munich, Johan Cruyff's Ajax, and Alfredo Di Stefano's Madrid.
All these teams in the competition's history dominated their eras, and the same can be said about Zidane's Madrid.
Nine players have started each of the last three finals - Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Henrique Casimiro, Marcelo Vieira, Keylor Navas, Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and Karim Benzema.
However, much of the credit for this victory must to go to Zidane.
He himself admitted that he was not a tactical genius, but that is not what is required when you have so much talent in your squad. The Frenchman prefers to concentrate on honesty of effort, competitive spirit and enjoying the daily toil -- humble values not always associated with the Bernabeu, CNN reported.
"I told the players to enjoy it as they will never be anything like this again," Zidane said during Saturday's celebrations.
Real Madrid won the final 3-1 to claim their third successive and 13th Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) title at the Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex on May 27.
The victory was Madrid's third in a row in the tournament, a feat unseen in the competition since Bayern Munich won three consecutive European Cups from 1974 - 1976. (ANI)

Allen produces fastest ton in T20WC history; guides NZ to final

With this win, NZ has sealed their final spot and will play either India or England, who will clash on Thursday at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. Courtesy of some fight from Marco Jansen (55 in 30 balls, with two fours and five sixes) and Tristan Stubbs (29 in 24 balls, with two fours and a six), Proteas reached 169/8 in 20 overs after they sunk to 77/5. But the real magic was produced by Tim Seifert (58 in 33 balls, with seven fours and two sixes) and Allen (100* in 33 balls, with 10 fours and eight sixes), who put a 117-run stand which killed the game within the powerplay itself.
