The UEFA Champions League (UCL) Round of 16 (first-leg) delivered dramatic results as FC Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid registered emphatic victories, while Liverpool FC suffered a shock defeat and FC Barcelona were held to a draw in their respective first-leg encounters.

They are just three short of table-toppers Arsenal, who are enjoying an unbeaten run with seven wins in seven games.

Bayern made a stunning comeback, scoring three goals to beat Sporting CP 3-1 in the ongoing Champions League, securing their spot in the knockout phase. Goals by Serge Gnabry, Lennart Karl and Jonathan Tah sealed Bayern's fifth win of the campaign.
