Munich [Germany], May 18 (ANI): Bayern Munich on Saturday won the Bundesliga title for the seventh consecutive time after they thrashed Eintracht Frankfurt by 5-1 in the last game of the season.
Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman scored the opening goal of the match in the fourth minute. In the second half, the one-goal lead was levelled by Eintracht Frankfurt's Sebastien Haller in the 50th minute.
Electric Bayern Munich did not take much time to regain their one-goal lead as just after three minutes, David Alaba scored his team's second goal and then in the 58th minute Renato Sanches netted a goal. Hence, Bayern Munich had a two-goal lead over Eintracht Frankfurt.
But Bayern Munich did not stop there as Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben added one goal each to hand their side a four-goal lead over Eintracht Frankfurt.
After the conclusion of the game, Eintracht Frankfurt faced a humiliating 1-5 defeat. But with this win, Bayern Munich secured their seventh consecutive Bundesliga title.
Despite registering a 2-0 win over Monchengladbach, Dortmund fell two points short from the champions, who had 78 points on the points table. (ANI)
