Williamson injures shoulder, taken for scan

Wellington [New Zealand], Mar 11 (ANI): Kane Williamson was taken to the hospital for getting a scan done on his injured shoulder and the captain did not come out to field in Bangladesh's second innings in the ongoing Test match in Wellington.
The Kiwi skipper sustained the injury on the third day of the Test match when he fell while awkwardly trying to stop the ball at gully position.
While batting during the first session on the fourth day of the Test match, Williamson was struggling with his left shoulder and the physio came out to look after him a couple of times.
The skipper kept on taking his hand off the bat upon missing contact with the ball a couple of times. Williamson managed to score 74, lasting nearly three hours at the crease.
He added 172 runs for the third wicket with Ross Taylor as New Zealand put up 432 runs on the board for the loss of six wickets in response to Bangladesh's first innings score of 211.
In Williamson's absence, Tim Southee led the Kiwi team when they came out to bowl while Peter Bocock was fielding in Williamson's place.
Day one and day two of the second Test match between New Zealand and Bangladesh was washed out due to rain.
At the end of Day four, Bangladesh were reduced to 80 for three, still trailing New Zealand by 141 runs. (ANI)
