Manchester (London) [UK], July 1 (ANI): Ahead of the three-match T20I series against England at Old Trafford on Tuesday, Indian skipper Virat Kohli said that the team will be looking to win every ball and every session against the opposition.
"Take away from this tour will obviously be the way we play our cricket, the mindset and attitude we maintain for the length of the tour that we play. No one can guarantee results but just wanting to win every ball, every session we play. If we can carry that for the length of the tour then I will be very proud as a captain," Kohli said.
The 29-year-old made it clear that the team will play the game in a fearless manner.
Talking about the team combinations, Kohli said that the batting order is going to be flexible and not 'one-dimensional'.
"We are certainly going to be lot more flexible. We are not gonna be one dimensional and that's something we have spoken about as a batting unit," he said.
Crediting Jos Buttler for his cracking performance against Australia in the recently concluded one-day series, Kohli said he is not surprised the way the Englishman has played and everyone is well aware of his abilities. He further credited Indian Premier League (IPL) for honing up Rajasthan Royal player's batting skills.
Reflecting on his own performance, the right-hand batsman said that he is looking to have a good time and is more concerned about team's performance.
"I am looking forward for a good time. It does not matter whether I get runs or don't get runs. What I want is the team to play well and I just want team to play good cricket and I want to lead from the front and that's always been my mindset," the captain said.
India are slated to play three-match T20I series, three-match ODI series and five Tests beginning July 3. (ANI)
