Melbourne [Australia], Sep 28 (ANI): Australian batsman Usman Khawaja has said that he is not concerned about what others think about his game against the spin bowling.
The comment came ahead of Australia's two-match Test series against Pakistan, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Terming the opinions on his spin bowling as "perception" the 31-year-old asserted that he does not pay much attention to such matters.
"They're all perceptions, they're all what people may think. That's the reason I don't bother paying too much attention what happens outside this little bubble," Cricket.com.au quoted Khawaja, as saying.
"I'm really enjoying playing cricket, it doesn't matter where I'm playing it," he added.
The left-hand batsman, who had recently struck a blistering knock of 127 runs on Day One of the first-class match between Australia A and India A in Bengaluru, admitted that despite giving good performance in last few months, he needs to keep his head down and work hard as every new venue comes with new challenges.
"I've obviously scored a lot of runs over the last few months but you can't get too far ahead of yourself in cricket. New game, new team, new venue, you really have to start again, it's a cliche but you do have to start again," he said.
"I'm keeping my head down, working hard, doing all the things I can . hopefully, that will set me up for a good series," he added.
Khawaja has scored runs with an average of 14.62 in nine innings that he has played in Asia.
Australia are slated to play their first Test against Pakistan at Dubai starting from October 7 followed by the second match at Abu Dhabi beginning October 16. (ANI)
