Ravi Shastri

New Delhi [India], Mar 14 (ANI): India failed to clinch the series against Australia even after taking an early lead 2-0. The trounce has invited criticism against their head coach Ravi Shastri following the team's 35 run defeat in the decider match at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in the national capital on Wednesday.
Soon after India was thrashed by the Aaron Finch and company, Shastri was brought to light for all the wrong reason and the former cricketer had to face a backlash on Twitter.
"Waiting when @RaviShastriOfc resigned. If he will not resign we do Dharna against Ravi Shastri," a tweet read.

Another user tweeted, "if u wanna win world cup sack #Ravishastri and pull dhoni and let virat mind his batting"

While requesting to make Rahul Dravid as India's head coach, a tweeter wrote, "@BCCI i request plz bring Rahul Dravid india's head coach and throw out Ravi shastri.india will achieve all the matches comprehensively"

A user posted a picture of Ravi Shastri with the caption "Most useless things in the world #SackRaviShastri"

"Ravi Shastri should be shown the door ..... he is the guy spoiling the team." another user tweeted.

A user even questioned whether Virat Kohli and Shastri have messed up the team combination in the name of experimentation.

Some even demanded Shastri’s resignation over team India’s defeat in both T20I and ODI series. In the first two ODIs, India dominated Australia, but they made a really good comeback as they won three back to back matches to claim their first ODI series victory in India since 2009.
The main cause of the defeat, as delineated by some users was the selection process of Indian cricket team calling it a ‘musical chair’ philosophy.
Tom Moody, former Australian cricketer tweeted, "A significant win for Australia iin #ODI series along with the #T20, this is the confidence boost the team will welcome. Aust are off the canvas and looking more unified, India have paid the price for a "musical chairs" selection philosophy! #INDvAUD"

Another user tweeted, "India have paid the price for a "musical chairs" selection philosophy! Do you agree with it? #INDvAUD"

MS Dhoni, a ‘must-have’ player, as termed by Shane Warne, was also dropped for the last two ODIs with 21-year-old wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant struggling to fill Dhoni’s shoes. And twitterati is of the opinion that fiddling too much with the team helped the Australian team to annihilate the hosts. (ANI)
