Tri-Nation Series: India win toss, elect to bowl first

Colombo [Sri Lanka], March 8 (ANI): India won the toss and elected to bowl first against Bangladesh in the second match of Tri-Nation Nidahas Twenty20 Cup being played at the R. Premadasa Stadium here on Thursday.

Tri-Nation Series: India win toss, elect to bowl first

Colombo [Sri Lanka], March 8 (ANI): India won the toss and elected to bowl first against Bangladesh in the second match of Tri-Nation Nidahas Twenty20 Cup being played at the R. Premadasa Stadium here on Thursday.

India will go with an unchanged playing XI which they fielded in the series opener against Sri Lanka.

India will be lead by Rohit Sharma while Bangladesh will be lead bu Mahmudullah Riyad.

After suffering a five-wicket defeat from Sri Lanka in the opening match, the Men in Blue will look to make a comeback against Bangladesh.

India have met Bangladesh five times in the format and have won all the matches.

The last time both sides faced each other was in the World T20, 2016, where India secured a last ball heart-stopping victory to save themselves from a knock out.

Bangladesh have also lost the T20I home series 2-0 against Sri Lanka last month.

India Playing XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Suresh Raina, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik, Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar, Vijay Shankar, Shardul Thakur, Jayadev Undakat and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Bangladesh Playing XI: Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Mahmudullah (c), Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Liton Das, Sabbir Rahman, Mehidy Hasan, Nazmul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman (ANI)
