New Delhi [India], November 1 (ANI): On VVS Laxman's 43rd birthday today, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar spilled out a secret of his former Indian teammate in his cheeky birthday wish.

Known for his wristy flicks on the ground, Laxman's batting elegance had been admired all over the world while he was also a nightmare for Australian bowlers.

Tendulkar, who was Laxman's teammate for several years, took to his official Twitter account to reveal the secret behind latter's brilliant ability to score runs.

He informed that Laxman used to go for a shower and then eat an apple before heading on to the crease to bat.

"Happy b'day, Lax! Shall I spill out the secret behind ur ability to score runs? Taking a shower & eating an apple before going to bat. Oops," Tendulkar tweeted.

The two players shared great bonding and had stitched numerous marathon partnerships for the national side during their playing days.

Meanwhile, former Indian opener Virender Sehwag continued with his typical and sarcastic way while wishing Laxman.

He made a hilarious birthday wish to the 'very very special' cricketer besides also dedicating a Bollywood song to him.

"Wishing #WristJaadugar & Bhrata Shri @VVSLaxman281 a very happy birthday. Can calm any situation with a flick of his wrists.Chitiyan Kalaiyan," Sehwag wrote on Twitter.

Former cricketer Sourav Ganguly, Indian pacer Irfan Pathan, opener Shikhar Dhawan, all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin and Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh were among others to wish Laxman on his birthday.

Laxman has represented India in 134 Tests and 86 ODIs, amassing 8,781 runs and 2,338 runs respectively.

His most memorable moment was his innings of 281 against Australia at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

It still remains one of the finest knocks by an Indian Test cricketer and was recognised as the best Test innings played in the last 50 years.(ANI)
