Johannesburg [South Africa], June 19 (ANI): South Africa batsman Theunis de Bruyn has been roped in by Surrey for their next two matches of the County Championship Division One.
Confirming the news, De Bruyn said that he would play for English county Surrey in their upcoming two Championship matches against Somerset and Yorskshire.
"I am delighted to be joining Surrey, a club with rich history, for the next two Championship matches. It has always been one of my ambitions to play county cricket," Sport24 quoted De Bruyn, as saying.
The 25-year-old, who has appeared in just five Test matches for South Africa, will then join back the national side for their two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, beginning July 12 at the Galle International Stadium.
On a related note, Surrey are slated to play their next match against Somerset from Wednesday. (ANI)
