New Zealand now lead the three-match series 1-0.

Chasing a target of 281 runs, New Zealand openers Martin Guptill and Colin Munro put 48 runs on the board for the first wicket. Munro (28) became victim of Jasprit Bumrah in the 10th over.

Kuldeep Yadav sent Captain Kane Williamson (06) to the pavilion in the 13th over.

After that Ross Taylor (95) and Tom Latham (103*) stitched together a 200-run fourth wicket stand to secure win over India.

Earlier, Indian skipper Virat Kohli marked his 200th ODI appearance by smashing his 31st one-day hundred as he surpassed former Australian captain Ricky Ponting on the list of highest centuries.

The 28-year-old walked in after India lost opener Shikhar Dhawan early in the innings for nine and went on to score the ton off just 111 deliveries.

Apart from Kohli (121) and Dinesh Karthik (37), no Indian batsman reached 30-run mark.

Trent Boult was the most successful New Zealand bowler who took four wickets by spending only 35 runs in his ten-over quota.

Tim Southee claimed three wickets but he was a bit expensive as he gave away 73 runs in his stipulated quota. (ANI)
