New Delhi [India], Mar 21 (ANI): Australia batsman Usman Khawaja has expressed his concern over the spread of coronavirus, saying that "the more seriously we take it, the quicker we can get through it."
Khawaja took to Twitter to write: "Just because the mortality rates for COVID-19 for many isn't high, doesn't mean you should have a blase attitude. It is our responsibility as a society to think about the elderly and the social and economical cost this will have on so many lives. We all need to do our part."
In another Tweet, he wrote: "The more seriously we take it, then hopefully, the quicker we can get through it and the less amount of lives that are affected both medically and financially. We need to think about others, not just ourselves."
Coronavirus, which originated in Wuhan city of China, has so far claimed the lives of over 10,500 people globally and has infected more than 2,44,500 worldwide.
The total number of positive cases of coronavirus in India now stands at 283. (ANI)
