Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 12 (ANI): Punjab Kings' pacer Vaibhav Arora, who made his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut with the clash against Chennai Super Kings, said that he feels 'great' to work under legends like Anil Kumble and Jonty Rhodes.
Vaibhav was first part of the PBKS camp earlier in 2020 in which he participated as a net bowler. Then in the next season, he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 20 lakhs. In the 2022 mega auction, the Punjab-born pacer was bought by PBKS for Rs 2 crore.
"I have experience of working under Anil Kumble sir and Jonty Rhodes sir, as I was a net bowler in 2020. I have been with them in the camps and I am very familiar with their style. Now, as a player, it feels great to work under these legends as they share their experiences and motivates us to do better," Vaibhav Arora told ANI.
Regarding his debut match against CSK, the pacer said that it was the proudest moment of his life when he bowled his first over.
"Playing my first game against CSK was the proudest moment of my life. It was a different feeling for me as my childhood dream of playing in the IPL, finally came true. It was very proud for me, my family, and my loved ones," said the pacer.
"When I started my spell, I was quite nervous as it was my debut match. But the moment when I took Robin Uthappa's wicket, it boosted my confidence. It was a great feeling to dismiss such an experienced batter," he added.
PBKS have won two matches out of their four outings in IPL 2022. They will now be facing Mumbai Indians for their next clash on Wednesday, at MCA Stadium, Pune. (ANI)
