New Delhi [India], April 30 (ANI): Mumbai Indians is not just the most successful Indian Premier League team, but the franchise has also produced world-class cricketers over the years. New Delhi [India], April 30 (ANI): Mumbai Indians is not just the most successful Indian Premier League team, but the franchise has also produced world-class cricketers over the years. Be it India's numero uno pacer Jasprit Bumrah or Hardik Pandya -- one of the best all-rounders in the shorter formats -- MI has over the years brought in fresh talent and turned them into top performers.

Speaking on Star Sports show Cricket Connected, former New Zealand all-rounder turned commentator Scott Styris said it is their scouting policy which has helped Mumbai Indians dominate the league over the years.

"I am an American sports fan and scouting is a huge part of what they do over there. Your ability to find players under the radar. Look at what has happened to Mumbai, the way they've been able to find and develop the Pandya brothers. The way they've been able to get Jasprit Bumrah. I am a full believer, 100 per cent behind the scouting.

"We've got Parthiv Patel here in the bubble, who is -- if not here, then he's scouting for the Mumbai Indians. He is right up there, and he is looking for players all around the world. They've got scouts looking at all the leagues, below, even the first-class levels and that's why Mumbai seem to find these players. I think if you want sustained excellence, then you must have a very strong scouting unit," he said.

Defending champions Mumbai Indians has had a mixed ride in edition 14, but the team is back to winning games after defeating Rajasthan Royals in their last encounter on Thursday.

Quinton de Kock and Krunal Pandya starred with the bat as Mumbai Indians registered a comprehensive seven-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday. De Kock and Krunal played knocks of 70 and 39 respectively to give Mumbai a much-needed win this season.

With the win, MI held on to its fourth position in the points table and the side has 6 points from 6 games. On the other hand, RR remain at the seventh spot with just 4 points. (ANI)
