Melbourne [Australia], Oct 18 (ANI): Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc, who is struggling with a left hamstring injury, is likely to miss the upcoming T20 series against Pakistan.
The team's management has decided to keep fellow pacer Peter Siddle as the backup bowler for the limited format series, News.com.au reported.
During the first Test against Pakistan, which ended in a draw, the 28-year-old was struggling with cramps in both his calves and groins.
Moreover, the left-arm pacer did not bowl in the final session of day two in the ongoing second Test at Abu Dhabi and spent time most of his time off the ground. By the end of day two, Pakistan had a 281-run lead in their second innings after bowling out Australia at the score of 145.
After the two-match Test series, Australia are slated to play three T20s against Pakistan from October 24 to 28. (ANI)
