Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Oct 11 (ANI): After producing a dominant performance against West Indies in the first Test, India will be aiming for a whitewash while taking on the visiting side in their second clash of the ongoing two-match series here at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Friday.
Earlier, the Virat Kohli-led side had thrashed the Carribean side by an innings and 272 runs in a one-sided opening Test of the series.
Indian bowlers had, quite easily, tore apart the batting line-up of the opposition while the batsmen also did not go through much trouble facing blunt bowling attack of West Indies.
West Indies, on the other hand, would be looking to review their playing strategy after losing their last game with a record margin.
The comeback of skipper Jason Holder, who had missed the first Test due to an injury, would be one of the positives for the visiting side.
Another relief would come in the form of fast bowler Kemar Roach who had missed the opening Test after he had to rush back to his home following the death of his grandmother.
West Indies will be relying on the likes of Shane Dowrich and Shai Hope to score for the team while in bowling, the return of Holder and Roach will be a huge booster for the team.
If India manage to win their final Test, it would be their 10th consecutive series win at home since 2013.
Following are the full Indian and West Indies squad for the match:
India: Virat Kohli (captain), KL Rahul, Prithvi Shaw, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vice-captain), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur.
West Indies: Jason Holder (captain), Kieran Powell, Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Roston Chase, Sunil Ambris, Shane Dowrich (wk), Keemo Paul, Devendra Bishoo, Sherman Lewis, Shannon Gabriel, Kraigg Brathwaite, Jahmar Hamilton, Jomel Warrican, Alzarri Joseph, Kemar Roach. (ANI)
