Mahmudullah

Dubai [UAE], Sep 12 (ANI): Bangladesh senior batsman Mahmudullah has said that the team is hopeful of giving good results in the upcoming Asia Cup.
The 32-year-old further stated that all the teams competing in the tournament are playing very good cricket at the moment and Bangladesh need to strategise one game at a time to perform well in the first stage.
"Hopefully we are going to get a really good crowd here because plenty of Bangladeshis live here. We hope they will come out and support us and we hope to deliver some good results for them," ICC quoted Mahmudullah, as saying.
"To be honest, I think all the teams are playing very good cricket at the moment, every team is very important and we can't afford to be relaxed. We need to take it game by game so that we can do well in the first stage," he added.
Bangladesh will be playing their opening match of the tournament against Sri Lanka, and Mahmudullah believes that the team has to be at their best to beat the island nation.
"I think we have got some good past memories against Sri Lanka from a few months back, but Sri Lanka is a very good team, and they are playing very good cricket and we have to be at our best to beat them. We have been preparing quite well, so hopefully we can deliver," he said.
Reflecting on his own performance, Mahmudullah stated that he would try to contribute as much as possible by keeping it simple on the field.
Asia Cup is slated to be held from September 15 to 28 in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. (ANI)
