Hardik Pandya, Mayank Agarwal added to India squad for remainder of Test series

Mumbai (Maharashtra), [India], Dec 17 (ANI): Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya and right-handed batsman Mayank Agarwal will be joining the side for the remainder of the Test series against Australia.

Mumbai (Maharashtra), [India], Dec 17 (ANI): Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya and right-handed batsman Mayank Agarwal will be joining the side for the remainder of the Test series against Australia.
Pandya, who sustained an acute lower back injury during the Asia Cup fixture against Pakistan in September, bagged seven wickets on his return to the field for Baroda in the Ranji Trophy match against Mumbai.
The All India Senior Selection Committee has named Mayank Agarwal as the replacement for the injured opening batsman Prithvi Shaw, who had suffered a left ankle injury while attempting a catch in the practice game against CA XI.
Following are the players selected for the third and fourth Test to be played at Melbourne and Sydney respectively:
Virat Kohli (C), Murali Vijay, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (VC), Hanuma Vihari, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Parthiv Patel (wicket-keeper), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya, and Mayank Agarwal.
India ended on Monday the fourth day of the second Test at the Perth Stadium on 112/5, requiring another 175 runs to register a victory and go 2-0 in the four-Test match series against Australia. (ANI)
