England's Adil Rashid returns to his preferred ODI format
London [United Kingdom], Feb 19 (ANI): England spinner Adil Rashid, who had flew back home to attend the birth of his second child in between the Test series against West Indies, has returned to the Caribbean soil to take part in the ODI series.

London [United Kingdom], Feb 19 (ANI): England spinner Adil Rashid, who had flew back home to attend the birth of his second child in between the Test series against West Indies, has returned to the Caribbean soil to take part in the ODI series.
The 31-year-old, who was not so impressive during the first Test against West Indies at Barbados, will be looking to move ahead and make a mark in his preferred ODI format.
With World Cup in sight, all the English players are expected to get back in rhythm but Rashid asserted that they are not looking “too far” and are fully concentrating on the West Indies series.
“It is important to start any game well. We won't look too far ahead knowing there is a World Cup and Ashes, it is still a long way away. Take it a game at a time. We're just looking to concentrate on this West Indies series,” ESPNcricinfo quoted Rashid, as saying.

England registered a comprehensive victory against UWI Vice Chancellors XI in a warm-up match which was played on Sunday. The spinner registered figures of 2-21 allowing the team to record an easy win.
Rashid has been a key figure in England's ODI side. The bowler, who has struggled in the Test format, is at ease in the white-ball game and he has been instrumental in changing the fortunes of the team in ODI format.
He believes that his role is same as it has been in the past three to four years that is to create chances and bringing about variation in his bowling.
“[My role is the] same as it has been for past three or four years. Nothing changes. It's to create chances, look to bowl variations and if it happens, great, and if it doesn't, fine. So I think my role is that same as I've been doing for the past three or four years,” he said.
England and West Indies are slated to play a five-match ODI series from February 20 to March 2. (ANI)
