England Women continue their clean sweep trend against Sri Lanka Women

Colombo [Sri Lanka], Mar 28 (ANI): England white-washed Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series as they won the final T20I by 96 runs at P Sara Oval on Thursday.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field. The visitors posted a 205-run target for the host, England's highest T20I total in Sri Lanka.

Both the English openers, Danielle Wyatt and Amy Jones, scored half-century scoring 51 and 57 runs respectively.

Tamsin Beaumont also played an inning of 42 runs while Natalie Sciver scored 49 runs off 24 balls which helped her cross the 1000-run mark milestone, sixth English woman to do so.

While chasing a big total, the host managed to score just 108 runs for six, Hansima Karunaratne scored 44, highest from Sri Lanka side.

England bowlers too showed an astonishing performance as only three Sri Lanka players were able to score in two-digit.

Prior to T20I series, England white-washed Sri Lanka in the three-match ODI series as well. (ANI)
