Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], September 21 (ANI): Ricky Bhui and Shreyas Iyer on Saturday helped India D maintain dominance over India B on Day 3 of the Duleep Trophy 2024 in Anantapur.
India B resumed the day on 210/6 and stretched to a total of 282 with the help of Washington Sundar's 87 from 140 balls. India D's Saurabh Kumar picked up all four wickets to fall in the day finishing with figures of 5 for 73.
India D had a sloppy start of their second inning after Navdeep Saini and Mukesh Kumar picked up quick wickets to remove Devdutt Padikkal (3), Srikar Bharat (2), and Nishant Sindhu (5).
It was Shreyas Iyer who held the inning after scoring a quick fifty from 40 balls at a strike rate of 125. However, Iyer's knock came to an end in the 14th over after Mukesh removed him from the crease. The fifth wicket came when Mukesh Kumar dismissed Sanju Samson in the 31st over.
At day three stumps, Ricky Bhui (90*) and Akash Sengupta (28*) stayed unbeaten on the crease and gave India D a lead by 311 runs over India B.
