Steve Smith/David Warner

Melbourne [Australia], July 4 (ANI): Australian cricket governing body, Cricket Australia (CA), has made it clear that they are not considering to soften their stand on the one-year ban imposed on former team skipper Steve Smith and opener David Warner for their role in the ball-tampering scandal.
"At no stage have we, or are we considering lessening the current sanctions in place for respective players in relation to the incident in South Africa," Cricket.com.au. quoted a CA spokesperson, as saying.
"The CA Code of Conduct does not allow for reversal or lessening of sanctions once players have fully accepted the charges," the spokesperson added.
Smith and Warner, along with Cameron Bancroft were found guilty of artificially altering the condition of the ball during the third Test of the four-match series against South Africa in Cape Town, four months back.
All the three players admitted to the charges laid against them and were subsequently served with the punishment. (ANI)
