Billy Stanlake

Melbourne [Australia], Feb 28 (ANI): Australia fast bowler Billy Stanlake is all set to play first-class cricket in the Sheffield Shield for the first time since three years.
Stanlake made his return to long-form cricket last week, taking two wickets for 53 runs for Queensland's league side.
Replacing leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson, the 24- year-old has also been named in the squad of Queensland to face New South Wales from Sunday.
Ashes hopeful Dan Worrall has also been named to play in the next round of Shield.
Queensland's chairman of selectors Justin Sternes said Billy always had the goal of playing in the longest format of the game.
"Bill is keen to showcase his red ball skills and returning to first-class cricket has been one of his goals this season,’’ Cricket Australia quoted Sternes, as saying.
Stanlake was not at his lethal best during the Big Bash League (BBL), picking up just eleven wickets in as many games. The pacer leaked runs at an economy of 9.07 in the tournament. (ANI)

"Lizelle, Shafali are destructive": DC skipper Jemimah after win

Poor powerplay batting by defending champions MI restricted them to just 154/5 in 20 overs. A fiery 63-run opening stand between Lizelle and Shafali and a fine half-century from Jemimah Rodrigues after a brief lean patch got DC their second win of the tournament, placing them at fourth spot in the points tally. MI's woes continue, as they have slipped to their third straight loss and overall fourth loss in the tournament, having won just two. It is their superior net-run-rate acting as a shield and keeping them at second place.

Bailey gives fitness updates on Cummins, Hazlewood, David

Cummins, who came after a long back injury layoff during the third Ashes Test in Adelaide and took six wickets in the series-sealing match, did not feature for four of five Ashes Tests, opting to miss the latter part of the series in order to keep his legs fresh for the T20 World Cup, even though he looked in excellent shape and form at Adelaide. Hazlewood missed the entirety of the marquee series, having hurt his right hamstring in November during Sheffield Shield action, while David's hamstring strain, the most recent injury concern, cut short his Big Bash League (BBL) stint with Hobart Hurricanes.
