A German delegation comprising of Professor Klaus Banert, Senior Professor, T.U. Chemnitz, Germany and Professor Rekha Ranjan, Head of AvH, handed over the equipment to Dr. Biswajit Saha, Assistant Professor, Amity Institute of Click Chemistry Research and Studies,in the presence of Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, Amity Group and Dr. Aseem Chauhan- Chancellor, Amity University,. The AvH Foundation promotes academic cooperation between excellent Scientists and Scholars from Germany and their counterparts from other countries. Dr. Saha said that the AvH equipment would be used for the purchase of "HPLC - Agilent Tech", "-80oC Immersion Cooler and "Rotary evaporator" for research and innovation. Professor Banert delivered a talk about TU Chemnitz and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He was also conferred Honorary Professorship of Amity University. Dr. Ashok Chauhan thanked the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for associating with Amity and strengthening the research initiatives. He announced that soon a website would be launched that would be dedicated to the achievements and accomplishments of faculty members, researchers, scientists and students of Amity. He remarked that Indian scientists and researchers are the best in the world and synergy of best brains, as promoted by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, can create wonders in both science and technology. Professor Rekha Rajan, Head AvH, India briefed students about the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation which aims to connect academic excellence worldwide and facilitates knowledge transfer and cooperation at the highest level. AvH, she said, strengthens cutting edge research through international linkages and promotes outstanding researchers however, funding solely depends upon the quality of research. She said the foundation does not have quotas for countries or disciplines. She stressed that over the last 10 years, the grants given by AvH to Indian researchers and scientists have gone down drastically due to not so well thought of project proposals. 'Creation of black holes without singularities through gravity'

'Creation of black holes without singularities through gravity'

Traditional black holes, as predicted by Albert Einstein's theory of General Relativity, contain what are known as singularities, i.e. points where the laws of physics break down. Identifying how singularities are resolved in the context of quantum gravity is one of the fundamental problems in theoretical physics. Now, a team of experts has described the creation of regular black holes from gravitational effects without the need for the existence of exotic matter required by some previous models.
