New Delhi [India], July 29 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only preaches zero tolerance towards terrorism but also demonstrates it through his actions.
"When the BJP and Prime Minister Modi talk about zero tolerance towards terrorism, they also demonstrate it through their actions," the BJP MP told mediapersons outside parliament.
Further reacting to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's address to the Lok Sabha during the discussion of Operation Sindoor, he said, "Union Home Minister Amit Shah has informed the country about the entire history of the Congress party regarding China, Pakistan, and Kashmir issues and has also spoken about the strict actions taken against terrorism."
Earlier in the day, Amit Shah criticised Congress amid the ongoing debate in Parliament on Operation Sindoor and said that there would be no Pakistan if they didn't accept partition.
"Today, China is in the UN Security Council, and India is not. Modi is trying his best to get India to become a part of the UN Security Council. Jawaharlal Nehru's stand is responsible for this. When our jawans were facing Chinese soldiers in Doklam, Rahul Gandhi was holding a meeting with the Chinese ambassador. This love for China has passed down three generations from Jawaharlal Nehru, Sonia Gandhi, and Rahul Gandhi," Shah said.
Shah, in his address, also confirmed that three terrorists who were involved in the killing of civilians were eliminated by the security forces during Operation Mahadev.
"In a joint Operation Mahadev, the Indian Army, CRPF, and J&K Police have neutralised three terrorists who were involved in the Pahalgam terror attack," Shah said while addressing the lower house.
"Innocent civilians were killed in front of their families by asking their religion. I condemn this barbaric act. I express my sympathies to the families who lost their loved ones," he added.
The Home Minister also informed Lok Sabha that the Lashkar-e-Taiba top commander Suleman, involved in the Pahalgam terror attack, was among the three terrorists killed by security forces during the recent Operation Mahadev in Jammu and Kashmir.
"... In Operation Mahadev, Suleman alias Faizal, Afghan and Jibran--these three terrorists were killed in a joint operation of the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police... Suleman was an A-category commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba. Afghan was an A-category Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist. And Jibran was also an A-grade terrorist... All three terrorists who killed our citizens in the Baisaran valley have been eliminated...," Shah said during the second debate on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha. (ANI)
