"Hurriyat leaders once got VIP treatment, now all behind bars": Amit Shah in Lok Sabha

"There was a time when Hurriyat leaders got VIP treatment here. They used to have dialogue with the Hurriyat. There used to be a red carpet for them. Representatives of the Manmohan Government used to have talks with them. We banned all the components of the Hurriyat, and everyone is behind bars. Hurriyat is the outfit of the terror organisations. We will not speak to them. We will speak to the youth of the valley," Shah said, addressing the Lok Sabha.

New Delhi [India], July 30 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the previous Congress-led UPA governments, stating that there was a time when Hurriyat leaders were accorded VIP treatment and held talks with representatives of the then government, but now they are all behind bars.
Highlighting the current government's policy on Hurriyat leaders, the Union Home Minister stated that Hurriyat is an outfit of terror organisations and the BJP-led NDA government will not speak to them.
The Union Home Minister informed the Lok Sabha that Lashkar-e-Taiba top commander Suleman, involved in the Pahalgam terror attack, was among the three terrorists killed by security forces during the recent Operation Mahadev in Jammu and Kashmir.
"... In the Operation Mahadev, Suleman alias Faizal..., Afghan and Jibran, these three terrorists were killed in a joint operation of the Indian Army, CRPF and J&K Police... Suleman was an A-category commander of the Lashkar-e-Taiba. Afghan was an A-category Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist. And Jibran was also an A-grade terrorist... All three terrorists who killed our citizens in the Baisaran valley have been eliminated...," Shah said during the second debate on the Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha.
The top BJP leader said, " All three terrorists - Suleman, Afghan and Jibran were killed in yesterday's operation. The people who used to supply food to them were detained earlier. Once the bodies of these terrorists were brought to Srinagar, they were identified by those who were kept detained by our agencies."
The Union Minister Shah trained guns on Congress amid the ongoing debate in Parliament on Operation Sindoor, and said that there would be no Pakistan if they didn't accept partition.
"Pakistan is Congress' mistake. If they had not accepted partition, there would have been no Pakistan today," Shah said. (ANI)
