Six cool 'Pakistani' things to-do in Delhi before they get banned
By Saumya Mishra New Delhi, Oct 18 (ANI): Amid the 'ban Pakistani artists' controversy, here are six cool things that you can do in national capital New Delhi which have direct or indirect link to Pakistan. To start with, a Pakistani mehendi named Jamila Henna Powder, which is made of 100 percent natural dried mehendi leaves, is used by Kundan who is a freelance artist, to make attractive Pakistani designs apart from Arabic and Mughlai designs for his clients. In an exclusive conversation with ANI, Kundan revealed the secret behind the success of the Pakistani-style of mehendi and said that this design gives a 3-D effect which is preferred by most of his clients. Next comes a two-in-one purpose Pakistani Hashmi 'Surma' which is medicated kohl that cures dull, blurred visions while keeping your eyes look gorgeously-winged. The surma is available in many variants, from tube to sticks and can be grabbed from the Lajpat Nagar's Central market (The kohl will help you draw a healthy LoC between your eyelids!) After you grab a tube of Hashmi 'Surma', it's now time to head for South Extension part-1 where Pakistani fashion awaits your attention. Pakistan Fashion Design Council- the Boulevard is an all-Pakistan apparel shop which is the only Pakistani Bridal collection store in the national capital. In demand here are the famous Pakistani 'lawn' fabric suits and kurtis which are made of a superior quality of cotton from Pakistan. When asked if the current situation with Pakistan has put a dent in his business, the owner of the PFDC Sahib Bindra asserted that fashion and politics should not be mixed. Once you are finished beautifying yourself in Pakistani styles, it's now time to get your mouth watered with delectable cuisine with Pakistani Shan spices, which can be ordered online anywhere, anytime. Also if the mango-lover in you is cursing winters for being the 'no-mango' season, Pakistani 'chaunsa' mangoes are your rescue. Grab your very own from Azadpur, Asia's biggest fruit wholesale market or you can also order the sweet king of fruits online from various websites that offer these 'chaunsa' mangoes at very reasonable costs. Even though Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has banned Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan and his serials, but you can still relish DVDs and CDs of Pakistani plays, films and songs at Palika Bazar in the heart of Delhi. So hurry up and run to these stores before stocks end or even worse....politics invades these lagoons of cultural harmony. (ANI)
