Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], Dec. 29 (ANI): The north Indian hill town Shimla recently organised a fashion show to boost tourism in the region as a part of Shimla winter carnival the fashion show was main attraction in hill resort. The fashion show was the main attraction as scores of tourists gathered at the Ridge Maidan, the heart of the town where people came to have a glimpse of models walking on the ramp in the cold weather in hills. The organisers say that the objective to organise fashion show is to draw tourist during the winter carnival and also to provide a platform to the rural girls. "The models participating in the show believe that this is not only helping them to showcase their talent but also helping to entertain the tourists in this winter festive season. The young models coming from rural area hare believe that it boosts up their confidence and also helps them coming up," said Sunny Sodi, one of the organisers. "These young models here are happy to be the part of fashion show which would select a model as Miss Shimla winter carnival queen," said a participant, Riti. The Himachal Pradesh tourism and 95 FM have organised the Fashion show here. 10 models were selected through social media from different rural areas of the state. (ANI)
