Astronomy festival organized in Siliguri

Silguri(West Bengal)[India], Nov. 5(ANI): To develop more engagement among the people who takes interest in sky watching and other related issues, the Sky Watchers Association of North Bengal (SWAN) have organized a four-day exhibition called "Astronomy festival" in Siliguri under Darjeeling district of West Bengal.

Silguri(West Bengal)[India], Nov. 5(ANI): To develop more engagement among the people who takes interest in sky watching and other related issues, the Sky Watchers Association of North Bengal (SWAN) have organized a four-day exhibition called "Astronomy festival" in Siliguri under Darjeeling district of West Bengal. The festival is organized to culminate more and more interest on the space and the astronomical issues among the students of different ages of schools and the colleges. The organizers said the response had been enormous among the students of the different regions of Siliguri. The exhibition constituted of photographs of the different events in the space, solar eclipse, planets, photographs of different satellites, selfie booth and others. It is noted that SWAN has organised a number of events which has been captured by the amateur photographers of the organization who were present during the occasions. The total solar eclipse of 1995, the solar eclipse of 1999 and the other activities of space and the astronomical events took its shape in varied forms in the exhibition.(ANI)
