Pune (Maharashtra) [India], October 24 (ANI): Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Tuesday flagged off the 'Yuva Sangharsh Yatra' in Pune and said that youth in the state cannot be ignored if those in the government want to remain in power.
In a post on X, Sharad Pawar said," 'Yuva Sangharsh Yatra', started by Rohit Pawar, will give faith and strength to all the youth of Maharashtra, starting from Pune today. Guided all the young people present on this occasion. This is not a small Yatra. It will last for 45 days in total. This is for the new generation. This is a confidence booster for the new generation."
Pointing out that "youth cannot be ignored in the state", Sharad Pawar said, "If anyone takes a stand of neglecting the youth, then the government will have to pay a heavy price and hence this Yatra is very important."
Sharad Pawar also called for the filling up of vacant posts in the schools and other departmental jobs that are sanctioned by the State government.
"Can't understand some things in the government's policy, why do they make such decisions? Now the simple thing is, that the schools are open but there are no teachers. There are 2,50,000 posts vacant for teachers. The number of unemployed people is much more than this. Recruitment should be immediately done in the state," Pawar said.
"There are vacant posts of teachers and professors and they should be filled. The recruitment process through MPSC should be fastened up," he added.
The 'Yuva Sangharsh Yatra', a foot march from Pune to Nagpur will be conducted under the leadership of NCP MLA Rohit Pawar. The march will go on for 45 days highlighting important issues of youth. (ANI)
