“Your dream is my resolution…”: PM Modi lays thrust on welfare schemes reaching all beneficiaries

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 21 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing a gathering at the 125th founder's day of 'The Scindia School' in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior ensured that deserving beneficiaries who have still not got the benefits of welfare schemes are reached out faster.
Speaking about eradicating poverty from the country, PM Modi asserted that India will completely remove poverty and also become developed.
"India will remove poverty and also become developed. Whatever India is doing today is doing it on a mega scale...Your dreams and resolutions should both be big. Your dream is my resolution," Modi said.
PM Modi's speech came ahead of the high-stake Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh next month. Madhya Pradesh will go to the assembly polls on November 17 and the counting of votes will take place on December 3.
"Do the hand-holding of at least one family that is below the poverty line. If there is at least one poor person in the country who doesn't have a gas connection, bank account, a proper house or Ayushmann card, then we shouldn't sit in peace. This is very important in the run-up to the fight against poverty in the country. Working this way has helped to move around 13.5 crore population out of poverty," PM Modi said while speaking at Gwalior.
On the achievements through the years, the Prime Minister said that the height of success at which India is today is unprecedented. India's influence is established all over the world, he added.
"On August 23, India landed on the Moon, where no country had been able to reach till now. Now India's flag was hoisted in the G20 also? Today India is the fastest growing large economy in the world. Today India is number one in global fintech adoption rate. Today India is number one in the world in real-time digital transactions," the Prime Minister added.
He further said, "Today India is number one in terms of smartphone data consumer. Today India is number two in the world in terms of the number of internet users. Today India is the second largest mobile manufacturer in the world. Today India has the third largest start-up ecosystem in the world. Today India is the third largest energy consumer in the world."
Further highlighting the successful launch of the Gaganyaan TV-D1 mission, PM Modi said that today nothing is impossible for India.
"Today India is preparing to set up its own space station. Today you saw that (ISRO) successfully conducted the test flight for the Gaganyaan Mission and its crew escape system," he pointed.
The Prime Minister emphasized that in the last 10 years of the current government's tenure, the country was freed from the burden of several pending decisions.
"Our government is about to complete 10 years, during this period, our government has freed the country from the burden of several pending decisions, from Article 370 to GST to One Rank One Pension, Triple Talaq and the Women's Reservation Bill which was currently passed," he said.
The PM added, "Our government did this work. There was a demand for 40 years that one rank one pension should be given to ex-servicemen. Our government did this work. There was a demand for 40 years to implement GST. Our government also did this work."
He pointed to the Women's Reservation Bill and said, "Just a few weeks ago, a law was made to provide reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and Assembly. This work was also pending for decades. 'Narishakti Vandan Act' has also been made by our government."
PM Modi was attending a programme marking the celebration of the 125th founder's day of 'The Scindia School' in Gwalior.
During the occasion, Union Minister and BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia felicitated PM Modi.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Jitendra Singh were also present at the event. (ANI)
