"Worrying that such major accidents happen again and again", says Arvind Kejriwal on Buxar train accident

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal raised concerns on the tragic Buxar train incident in which 4 people were killed and many others got injured and said that it is worrying that such major accidents happen again and again.

New Delhi [India], October 12 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal raised concerns on the tragic Buxar train incident in which 4 people were killed and many others got injured and said that it is worrying that such major accidents happen again and again.
At least four passengers were killed and around 30 injured after 21 coaches of the North-East Express train derailed near Raghunathpur station in Buxar district, an official said.
Arvind Kejriwal took to X and said "The train accident that happened in Buxar, Bihar is very sad. My condolences to all the families who lost their loved ones in this accident. I pray to God that all the injured get well soon and return to their families."
"The Central Government will have to be alert to prevent such train accidents, it is worrying that such major accidents happen again and again," Kejriwal added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his condolences to the people who lost their lives in the tragic train derailment incident in Bihar's Buxar district on Wednesday night.
In a post from PMO India's official account on X, the Prime Minister said "Pained by the loss of lives due to the derailment of a few coaches of the North East Express. Condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for a quick recovery of the injured. Authorities are providing all possible assistance to all those affected: PM @narendramodi."
The North East Express train had rolled out of Anand Vihar Terminal, Delhi and was heading to Kamakhya in Assam when the coaches jumped rails near Raghunathpur station of Danapur division of the East Central Railway.
Earlier, on Thursday, Union Minister Ashwini Choubey oversaw the restoration work and rescue operations at the scene of the derailment.
Speaking to reporters, Ashwini Choubey said, "The scene was horrifying. I thank the locals for extending a helping hand in the rescue operation. Locals in their thousands set aside their household chores and rushed to help out distressed passengers."
"As soon as I received word of the derailment, I informed all the departments concerned -- from the Railways ministry to the Prime Minister's Office. Rescue operations were launched and hospitals were told to be prepared to take in the injured," Choubey said. (ANI)
