"Worries less about nation; more about abroad," Dilip Jaiswal hits out at Kharge over Venezuela remark

Patna (Bihar) [India], January 6 (ANI): Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal on Tuesday hit out at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge over his remarks on the situation in Venezuela following the US military operation that led to the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro, saying that "Kharge ji worries less about the nation and more about abroad."
Jaiswal further accused Kharge of always raising questions about the country's security agencies.
"He always raises questions about the country's security agencies," he told ANI.
On Monday, Kharge raised concerns over the recent arrest of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and warned against the 'expansionist' tendencies and attempts to intimidate nations.
"The situation forming in Venezuela is not good for the world. The US President is attempting to scare the people of the world. Whoever attempts expansionism does not continue for long. People like Hitler and Mussolini are gone. It is not right that several people who harbour ill thoughts and try to disrupt global peace," he said.
The US carried out intensified military operations for months in the Venezuela region. Since September, Washington has launched dozens of strikes against vessels it claims were involved in drug trafficking linked to Venezuela. These operations reportedly resulted in more than 115 deaths in the region.
Meanwhile, on the situation of Bangladesh unrest, Dilip Jaiswal expressed strong concern over the atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh, stating that the situation there needs to improve and the government and administration must take it seriously.
"The situation in Bangladesh needs to improve; the government and administration there must take this seriously. If you kill Hindus in the name of religion and try to destroy Sanatan Dharma, India and the entire diplomatic community will not tolerate it under any circumstances," he said to ANI. (ANI)
