Panji (Goa) [India], Feb. 28 (ANI): The Women Organisation Ranaragini appealed to the Goa State Commission for Women on Tuesday to remove all contraceptive advertisements on Kadamba buses and other public places featuring actress Sunny Leone to save women from embarrassment. The Womens' Organisation, Ranaragini, an affiliate of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, has petitioned the Goa State Women's Commission on the issue. It said that the objectifying of the feminine gender was proving embarrassing to women. The commission has issued notice in connection with the matter. "A different message is conveyed and this is a very ugly scene," the petition signed by Neha Govekar, of the organisation. "We have received complaints about this from many women. We, hereby, kindly request you to remove these pictures," the petition said. "We would like to bring to your kind notice the use of women's pictures in contraceptive advertisements at public places. It has been observed that there is use of women's picture in contraceptive ads at public places like the Kadamba Transport Corporation buses and elsewhere," the petition said. Goa State Women Commission Chairperson Vidya Shet Tanavade said a notice has been issued to all parties concerned. (ANI)
