Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], March 31 (ANI): Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Sunday said that women will vote with their hearts for PM Modi in the Lok Sabha election. He said that the Prime Minister has focused on women's grievances which past governments ignored.
Addressing a series of public meetings in different locations, Jitendra Singh said that those who visited Kathua before 2014, if they visit now, they see a miraculous transformation.
"The announcement of women's toilets in 2014 from Lal Quila by PM Modi brings a change and respects the women with a mark of dignity for them. Women will vote with their hearts for Modi to win in this election," he said.
Jitendra Singh addressed a series of election rallies at Kathua, Keerian Gandyal, and Basantpur.
"Those of the opposition leaders who say that there has been no development in the last 10 years are the ones who themselves are using the facilities to the maximum extent. Their children are attending the Medical College opened by the Modi government through the Central Fund. They are using the recreation facilities of Birla Park and Dreamland Park, both of which were rejuvenated after 2014 and they are also sending their children to the centrally funded Engineering College which was opened in Kathua under the RUSA Scheme after 2014," Jitendra Singh said.
The Union Minister further emphasized that the opposition has no issue to raise and no development to claim during the 10 years of the UPA government from 2004 to 2014 when the constituency was represented by the Congress Party.
"On the other hand, that decade of UPA rule brought Kathua the dubious reputation of unauthorised land grabbing and illegal encroachments. With North India's first-ever Industrial Biotech Park and the upcoming new industrial area, Kathua is not only going to emerge as North India's major business and trade centre, but it will also be an important education and healthcare centre," he added.
He predicted that in the next few years, because of its advantageous position being located in the proximity of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, Kathua may develop as a vibrant central point compared to the adjoining city of Pathankot and Jammu. (ANI)
