With eye on upcoming Chhattisgarh assembly polls, Arvind Kejriwal lists AAP's nine guarantees

With an eye on the upcoming Assembly election in Chhattisgarh, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday released 'guarantee cards' and issued nine guarantees for the people to mention what his party will implement if voted to power in the state.

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], August 19 (ANI): With an eye on the upcoming Assembly election in Chhattisgarh, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday released 'guarantee cards' and issued nine guarantees for the people to mention what his party will implement if voted to power in the state. 
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann arrived at Jainam Manas Bhawan in the capital Raipur today and made announcements related to employment, women, electricity, education, and health in guarantee.
Here is the list of guarantees made by Delhi CM Kejriwal: 
Electricity guarantee
1. Like Delhi and Punjab, 300 units of electricity will be given free of cost to every household in Chhattisgarh every month.
2. 24-hour electricity will be provided in all the villages and cities of Chhattisgarh without any cuts.
3. All the old outstanding domestic bills will be waived after the Aam Aadmi Party government is formed in Chhattisgarh.
Employment guarantee
1. Employment will be provided to every unemployed.
2. An unemployment allowance of Rs 3000 per month will be given to every unemployed until a job is found.
3. About 10 lakh unemployed will be recruited for government jobs.
4. Transparency will be brought in job recruitment by eliminating recommendations and corruption, and job opportunities will be given to the general public.
Guarantee for women
1. All women above 18 years of age will be given Rs 1000 Stree Samman Rashi every month.
Education guarantee
1. Every child of Chhattisgarh will be given good and free education
2. All government schools will be made great like Delhi
3. Like Delhi, private schools in Chhattisgarh will not be allowed to increase fees illegally.
4. All contractual teachers will be confirmed. All vacant posts of teachers will be filled.
5. Teachers will not be given any other work other than teaching.
Health guarantee
1. Arrangement of free and good treatment for every citizen of Chhattisgarh like Delhi.
2. All medicines, tests and operations will be made free like in Delhi.
3. Mohalla clinics will be opened in every village and ward like Delhi.
4. All existing government hospitals in Chhattisgarh will be upgraded and new government hospitals will be opened.
5. All road accident patients will be given free treatment facilities in the entire Chhattisgarh.
Pilgrimage Guarantee
1. Like Delhi, all the elders of Das will be made free to travel to any holy pilgrimage place of their choice.
2. Traveling there, living and eating will all be free.
Guarantee of corruption-free Chhattisgarh
1. Like Delhi, corruption will be completely eradicated in Chhattisgarh too.
2. You will not have to go there to get work done in any government office, like Delhi, you will issue a phone number, you will call on that phone and tell the work, and a government employee will come to your home and do the work, you will not need to bribe anyone.
Guarantee of Samman Rashi for martyrs' (Martyr's honour amount)
1. If the soldiers of the Indian Army and Chhattisgarh Police are martyred during service, then their families will be given an honorarium of Rs 1 crore.
Guarantee for working class
1. Will regularise contract, placement, contract and irregular employees of all departments.
2. Contract and contract system will be stopped.
Meanwhile addressing the event Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that everything is possible if the intentions of the leaders are clear.
Five states — Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram — will go to the polls by the end of this year. (ANI)
