Will file application against him: Er Rashid on 'out of jail' allegations by Sajad Lone

Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 18 (ANI): Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) President Engineer Rashid, said on Tuesday that he will file an application against Sajad Gani Lone in a court in Delhi over his "not in jail" allegations.
People's Conference President Sajad Lone reportedly alleged on Monday that Engineer Rashid "was not in jail for the past two months."
"... I am going to file an application against him (Sajad Lone) in Delhi court that he has said all this about me... How is it possible? Answering this question is like reducing my stature...," Rashid, who is out on bail till October 2, told reporters in Kupwara on Tuesday.
He was responding to the queries on filing a case against Sajad Lone over his allegations.
Rashid added, "If his allegations are found to be true, then action would be taken against the jail officials, and if not, then action would be taken against him (Sajad Lone)."
The first phase of three-phase assembly elections in the Union Territory will be held on September 18. 24 Assembly constituencies across the Union Territory will go to polls in the first phase.
The second phase will be held on September 25 and the third on October 1. The counting of votes will take place on October 8. There are 47 assembly seats in Kashmir and 43 in Jammu. Out of which seven seats are reserved for SCs and nine seats are reserved for STs.
Assembly polls are being held in Jammu and Kashmir after a gap of nearly ten years.
According to the Election Commission of India, Jammu and Kashmir has 88.06 lakh eligible electors.
In the previous Assembly elections, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) won 28 seats, the BJP secured 25, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) won 15, and the Congress won 12. (ANI)
