"Will assist every disaster victim so that their rehabilitation can take place": Uttarakhand CM Dhami meets disaster victims in Sahastradhara

The Chief Minister assured full support to the disaster victims under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], October 20 (ANI): Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday visited the disaster-affected residents of Majhara village in Dehradun's Sahastradhara and said that they would assist every victim so that their lives could get back on track.
The Chief Minister assured full support to the disaster victims under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to reporters after the visit, CM Dhami said, "The place where we are standing is the area of Majhara and Karligad... Due to cloudbursts, heavy landslides, and rain, there has been major devastation here. This area is very problem-ridden... Today, I have also instructed all the officials in this regard. We have also met with the victims of this area and assured everyone that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, we will assist every disaster victim so that their rehabilitation can take place and their lives can get back on track."
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday met the disaster-affected residents of Majhada village in Dehradun's Sahastradhara. He also conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing reconstruction work in the affected areas.
Earlier, on September 15, a calamity that struck Majhara and Karligad villages in Dehradun caused severe devastation. Three people were buried under debris in Dehradun's Sahastradhara area as a result of heavy rainfall that led to flooding in the area and caused severe damage to houses and properties across the State.
CM Dhami also distributed fruits to the disaster-affected residents in Sahastradhara on the occasion of Diwali 2025.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Manday morning extended Diwali greetings to citizens. Sharing an X post, CM Dhami wished for happiness and prosperity in the lives of the people.
He wrote, "Heartfelt Diwali greetings and best wishes to all the residents of the state. May this great festival dedicated to the worship of Mother Mahalakshmi and Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, bring happiness, prosperity, and well-being into all your lives." (ANI)
