Why didn't Cong make Indian Army's valour public, asks Rajnath

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], Dec 2 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday accused the Congress party of suppressing the valour of Indian Army by not making their feats like "surgical strikes" public. "The people of the country have the right to know about the feats of Indian Army, which the Congress did not let it happen when in power at the Centre," said Singh, while addressing a press conference here.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh addressing media in Jaipur on Sunday

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], Dec 2 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday accused the Congress party of suppressing the valour of Indian Army by not making their feats like "surgical strikes" public. "The people of the country have the right to know about the feats of Indian Army, which the Congress did not let it happen when in power at the Centre," said Singh, while addressing a press conference here.
The Home Minister, who was in Rajasthan to address election rallies in favour of the BJP candidates, said, "Why Congress president Rahul Gandhi is now talking about the surgical strikes, which took place when his party was in power at the Centre? Why didn't they make the Army's valour and efforts public? People have the right to know the achievements of the Indian Army. Rahul Gandhi is suddenly realising this now."
In response to the Congress' demand for a joint parliamentary probe into Rafale deal, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said, "Now when they have taken the matter to the Supreme Court, then they should wait for its judgment. That is all." He said the Congress would be "wiped out" from Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram, and a non-Congress government would be formed even in Mizoram.
Heaping praises on Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for taking pro-people policies, which benefitted the masses, Rajnath said, "I congratulate Vasundhara Raje for doing such a great job in these last five years. Our programmes like Ujjwala Yojana, Awas Yojana, and Ayushmaan Bharat have received a tremendous response in Rajasthan and all over the country."
Continuing his tirade against the Congress, the Home Minister took a jibe at the party, saying, "The Congress leaders have started to make a dash to temples before elections. For the first time, they had said in Madhya Pradesh that they will open a cow shelter. They are practicing caste politics now. Their agenda is to break the country's social fabric."
Condemning Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's remarks over Kashmir issue at the groundbreaking ceremony of Kartarpur corridor last month, Rajnath said, "Imran Khan had rightly said that Pakistan and India should move ahead from its past and nothing will be achieved in this blame game. But, he referred to Kashmir as an issue. Let me tell you, Kashmir is and will remain an integral part of India. Our issue is terrorism. We have no problems in talks with Pakistan. But our main issue is terrorism."
The 200-member Rajasthan Assembly is scheduled to go to polls on December 7. The counting of votes will take place on December 11. (ANI)
