"Whoever becomes the CM will work for the people of Delhi": BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat ahead of new CM announcement

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat on Wednesday assured that the new Delhi Chief Minister from her party will fulfil the dreams of the residents of Delhi.

New Delhi [India], February 19 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat on Wednesday assured that the new Delhi Chief Minister from her party will fulfil the dreams of the residents of Delhi.
"Delhi is going to get a new CM. Soon, the name will be announced. Whoever becomes the CM will work for the people of Delhi under PM Modi's vision and will fulfil the dreams of the people here. People will remember the BJP CM's face," Sehrawat told ANI.
BJP MLA elect Raj Kumar Bhatia said, "For us, the most important thing is that our govt is forming after 27 years...48 candidates are there for CM post..."
Ahead of the CM announcement, BJP MLA elect Kailash Gahlot said, "It is just a matter of a few minutes now. After a very long time, Delhi will get a CM for a double-engine government...the development that was stopped will start again."
MLA elect Anil Sharma said, " We will get to know (CM face) in half an hour. If we could wait for 11 days, let's wait for half an hour more...I am nowhere in the CM race...whatever decision the party takes, we will all agree..."
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi legislative party meeting began at the party office on Wednesday.
BJP has appointed its leaders, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Om Prakash Dhankar as the party's central observers for electing the leader of the Delhi Legislature Party.
The final preparations and arrangements for tomorrow's swearing-in ceremony, including VIP guest invitations, were discussed in a meeting held at the BJP headquarters.
Attendees included BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, along with Vinod Tawde, Arun Singh, Virendra Sachdeva, Harsh Malhotra, Alka Gurjar, Vishnu Mittal, and other prominent leaders.
The last BJP government in Delhi was from 1993 to 1998. The BJP won 48 seats in a historic mandate, marking its return to power in Delhi after 27 years. Several AAP leaders, including former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, lost in their strongholds, while outgoing Chief Minister Atishi managed to retain her seat. (ANI)
