Patna (Bihar) [India], April 8 (ANI): Coming out hard against Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pitch to cross 400 Lok Sabha seats in the coming polls for NDA, former Deputy CM of Bihar and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, what is the point of crossing 400 when the Prime Minister never talks about essential things such as employment, farmers, youths and labourers?
"Modi Ji neither talks about jobs nor about students, youth, farmers or labourers. He does not talk about villages and poor people. Modi Ji does not talk about education, health, schools or hospitals. Then what is the point of crossing 400?" the RJD leader posted on X.
He further said that if PM Modi does not talk about the real issues, then forget about 400; the BJP-NDA alliance will not even win 100 seats in the Lok Sabha polls.
"If Modi ji does not talk about the real issues, then forget about 400; they won't be able to win 100 seats either. So instead of Modi ji, issues should be discussed," Tejashwi Yadav said.
Earlier, after the visit of PM Modi to Bihar's Jamui, Tejashwi Yadav, said on Saturday that PM Modi should have at least told what he has done for the development of Jamui.
Speaking to reporters, he said that he, along with several party leaders, are going to present their views to the people.
"We are going to Jamui and will present our views among the people. When PM Modi went to Jamui, he did not talk about 'Parivarvad' because everywhere in Bihar, their own candidates are from some political family...The Prime Minister should have at least told what he has done for the development of Jamui", Tejashwi Yadav said.
The ruling National Democratic Alliance has reached a seat-sharing agreement in Bihar for the Lok Sabha polls with the BJP set to contest 17 seats and JD-U 16.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA, comprising the BJP, JD (U), and LJP, dominated the 2019 elections by winning 39 out of 40 seats.
In the first phase, voting is to be held in 4 seats of Bihar on April 19. Those 4 Lok Sabha seats are Aurangabad, Gaya, Nawada and Jamui
Bihar will see polling in seven phases. The first phase of polling will be held on April 19, the second phase on April 26, the third phase on May 7, the fourth phase on May 13, the fifth phase on May 20, the sixth phase on May 25, and the seventh phase on June 1.
The Lok Sabha Elections 2024 will be held in seven phases, starting on April 19. Counting of votes on June 4. (ANI)
