Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], April 7 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari on Sunday targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asking what happened with the promise of providing two crore jobs to the youth in the country.
"He must answer that what happened to your (PM Modi) promise of two crore jobs. One crore and thirty lakh youths are unemployed. Who is responsible for it? Support price of Rs 2700 for wheat and Rs 3100 for paddy. But it has not been fulfilled so far," Patwari said, targeting PM Modi.
"People in Madhya Pradesh voted in the name of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and the 'Ladli Behna' scheme but you have made a CM who is not eligible...," the Congress leader added.
On April 6, Union Minister Rajnath Singh accused the Congress party of being corrupt, stating that there is an unbreakable bond between Congress and corruption, and it follows the party wherever it goes.
"There is an unbreakable bond between Congress and corruption...There was a song called 'Tu chal main aayi,' Congress and corruption have the same relationship...You must have seen that wherever Congress comes, corruption reaches there too," he said in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Saturday that the Bharatiya Janata Party will register a massive victory in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"I am thankful for the fact that people are with the BJP and PM Modi. The BJP will win with a massive mandate," CM Yadav told reporters in Kabirdham.
He attended a public meeting in Chhattisgarh's Kabirdham on Saturday.
Lok Sabha elections in 29 parliamentary constituencies of Madhya Pradesh are scheduled to be held in the first four phases of the total seven phases, dated April 19, April 26, May 7, and May 13. The votes will be counted on June 4.
The BJP has a strong presence in Madhya Pradesh. During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP secured victory in 28 seats, while the Indian National Congress (INC) won only one. Similarly, in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won 27 seats while the INC won only two. (ANI)
