"What does mistreatment of Bangladeshi Hindus have to do with Indian Muslims?": Owaisi lashes out at CM Yogi

Attacking the BJP-led Centre further, Owaisi asked why the government has not sent back deposed former PM Sheikh Hasina if it is concerned for Hindu minorities there.

New Delhi [India], December 5 (ANI): All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday lashed out at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over him drawing a comparison between the rioters in Sambhal and those attacking minorities in Bangladesh.
Attacking the BJP-led Centre further, Owaisi asked why the government has not sent back deposed former PM Sheikh Hasina if it is concerned for Hindu minorities there.

In a post on X, Owaisi said, "Yogi today made some absurd remarks about Bangladesh's minorities, Babri Masjid and Sambhal."
"No minorities anywhere should be persecuted. But what does the mistreatment of Bangladeshi Hindus have to do with Indian Muslims? Or is he implying that Muslims here should be treated as hostages? If he is so concerned about Bangladeshi minorities, why don't you send back Sheikh Haseena? Why is she living in India?" Owaisi said.
The AIMIM Chief also mentioned that the Supreme Court itself accepted that there is no evidence that Babri Masjid was built by demolishing a temple.
"The case of the Sambhal Jama Masjid was also resolved in 1877-79 and the courts had clearly stated that the Jama Masjid of Sambhal is a mosque and there is no temple there, nor is Hindu worship performed there. Truth has no value in Yogi's dukaan, but this does not mean that we will quietly believe him. His statement makes it clear that these cases of converting mosques into temples are "sponsored by the BJP". When a case is sub judice, no one has the right to influence it," Asaduddin Owaisi added.
Earlier today, addressing the Ramayan Mela's opening ceremony at Ayodhya's Ram Katha Park, CM Yogi Adityanath said that what Babur's man did in Ayodhya Kumbh 500 years ago, the same thing happened in Sambhal, and the same is happening in Bangladesh.
"The nature of the three and their DNA is the same. If someone believes that this is happening in Bangladesh, then the same elements are here too waiting to hand you over. They have made full arrangements to break the social unity," he said.
The Uttar Pradesh CM also called upon the people to draw inspiration from the life of Lord Ram and recalled the efforts behind the building of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
"Once again Ayodhya is moving ahead with a new identity as a global city spiritually and culturally... Remember how in January this year, due to the efforts of PM Narendra Modi, Lord Ram has been seated in the temple again after five hundred years... Anyone who does not respect Lord Ram and Mata Janaki, no matter how dear they are to you, should be abandoned like an enemy. That is why Ram devotees gave the slogan in 1990, 'Jo Ram ka nahi humare kisi kaam ka nahi," CM Yogi added. (ANI)
