Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], November 20 (ANI): As the Jharkhand Assembly elections concluded on Wednesday, BJP candidate from Jamtara constituency Sita Soren thanked people for their support saying that the women of the state have decided to bring change.
The BJP leader emphasised that the people of the state have come forward for 'Roti, Beti and Maati', adding that a change will be seen on November 23.
"I thank the public for supporting BJP. The government which has been running for five years has betrayed the youth and women for the last five years. In this election, the women of Jharkhand have decided to bring change. Everyone came forward for 'Roti, Beti and Maati'...on (November) 23, we will see the change," she told ANI.

Leader of Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly and BJP candidate from Chandankiyari seat Amar Kumar Bauri expressed confidence in the victory of BJP-led alliance in the state saying that the people were in a mood for change for the last two years.
"People were in a mood for change for the last two years... Here the BJP-NDA government will be formed. The departure of this corrupt government is certain... We have said earlier also that if BJP government is formed, then whoever gets the opportunity under the guidance of the BJP Legislative Party and central leadership that leader will take the Jharkhand forward," he said.

Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahay said that in areas where the second phase of polling took place, the JMM-led alliance has historically dominated, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) struggling to secure even a single seat.
"The areas where polling took place in the second phase of elections, the JMM-INDIA alliance has always swept polls and BJP ever got even one seat. JMM's tally will only increase, not reduce. BJP could not raise even one issue during their campaign based on which they could claim to bring change...Hemant (Soren) will certainly become the CM again," the Congress leader said.
Elections were held in two phases for 81 assembly seats in Jharkhand.
According to three exit polls Jharkhand is likely to see a change of government with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance coming to power in the state, while one poll gives the majority to the ruling JMM-led alliance.
According to the Chanakya Strategies exit poll, the BJP-led NDA is likely to win 45-50 seats in the state while the JMM-led alliance could win 35-38 seats. It said others could get 3-5 seats.
Peoples Pulse exit poll said that the NDA may get 44-53 seats, the JMM-led alliance 25-37 seats and others 5-9 seats.
Polling for the second phase of the Jharkhand Assembly elections across 38 constituencies in 12 districts concluded on Wednesday, recording an approximate voter turnout of 67.59 per cent till 5 pm.
The first phase of the Jharkhand polls was held in 43 of 81 assembly seats on November 13. The results for all 81 constituencies will be declared on November 23, alongside those for Maharashtra Assembly elections and bypolls across several states. (ANI)
