New Delhi (India), Feb 3 (ANI) The BJP government wants to bolster the country's defence forces so that it can act like a 'sudarshan chakra' and protect the country from anti-India forces, Union Minister Rajnath Singh said today.
“Terror incidents are at the lowest level today compared to the last two decades. Our government wants to make the country's security force so strong that it proves to be a 'Sudarshan Chakra' for anti-national forces,” Singh said.
The Union Minister said this at 'Bharat Ke Mann Ki Baat' campaign, a month-long exercise to seek suggestions from 10 crore people across the country to help the BJP party prepare its ‘sankalp patra’ (manifesto).  Singh launched the event jointly with BJP President Amit Shah here.
The Union minister further said that his government was working for inclusive growth and development in the country and had begun the 10 per cent reservations for the poor, a section that was ignored for years by previous governments.
He said it was the first time that a political party was starting such a campaign to take suggestions from the public for a 'Sankalp Patra'.
"The real strength of a democracy lies with the people. We will seek an opinion from the public about what we can do further. Importantly, the talks would be held with the female section of the society,” Singh said.
The Home Minister added that people only expect from those who actually work for them and the BJP believes that it is not only its duty but its moral responsibility to respect the expectations and demands of the general public.
“The enrichment of the Indian culture is only possible by the BJP and this truth is accepted by each and every Indian,” he said.
With the 'Bharat Ke Mann Ki Baat' campaign, the BJP hopes to involve every Indian in shaping future India. Through this comprehensive campaign of one month starting from Sunday, the BJP will endeavour to connect directly to 100 million people to take their suggestions to prepare its manifesto for the General Elections.
